Jalil promoted a meeting to connect small and medium-sized enterprises with large companies in Catamarca.

More than 210 SMEs participated in a meeting with major companies such as ARCOR and ARCA Continental

This Tuesday, Hotel Casino Catamarca hosted an important business roundtable driven by the ADN Pymes program, where more than 210 small and medium-sized enterprises participated with the goal of establishing business relationships with major national and international companies. The event took place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and was attended by Governor Raúl Jalil, who emphasized the strategic value of this type of meeting for the provincial economy.

"The idea arose from a meeting in Recreo with Luis Pagani, one of ARCOR's shareholders. There, a plan was made to integrate SMEs with large companies," Jalil explained in his remarks. The Catamarcan governor highlighted the need to create spaces for productive coordination that allow the value chain to be strengthened and new markets to be developed for the private sector.

Energy, tourism, and mining as pillars of growth

During the event, Jalil highlighted progress in the installation of solar panels in Recreo, an initiative aimed at reducing energy costs for SMEs and promoting the use of renewable energy. "We're working so that companies can be more competitive," he stated.

The governor also pointed out that sectors such as mining, food, and tourism have the capacity to share services and create synergies that benefit the entire productive ecosystem. "Catamarca has clear competitive advantages. This roundtable is the beginning of something much bigger," Jalil said, noting that provincial development will largely depend on a virtuous alliance between the public and private sectors.

ADN Pymes: a bridge between projects and real contracts

Event organizers indicated that the main purpose of the day was to offer SMEs a concrete opportunity to present their projects and generate relationships that could translate into future contracts. "The challenge is to support them after this event so that these opportunities become concrete realities," ADN Pymes program spokespersons stated.

The meeting resulted in a high level of participation and renewed expectations regarding the strengthening of the local productive network. Both the provincial government and the major participating companies agreed on the need to continue generating this type of space, which allows horizons to be broadened and networks of collaboration to be created that transcend the province's geographic boundaries.
