Silent Hill f debuts 4K gameplay featuring monsters, action, and Japanese horror. It arrives on PS5 and PC on September 25
Konami surprised once again with a different installment in its most iconic saga. This time, Silent Hill f moves to rural Japan in the 1960s and aims for an experience defined by psychological horror and Japanese folklore.
The game already has a confirmed release date and will launch in September for PlayStation 5 and PC. A new 12-minute gameplay video shows what the adventure will be like from the very beginning.

What is the new Silent Hill like?
This new title doesn't take place in the classic town of Silent Hill or in the United States. The protagonist, Hinako Shimizu, explores Ebisugaoka, a rural Japanese area that combines bucolic settings with an increasingly sinister atmosphere.
The gameplay begins with a sense of desolation and mystery. As soon as the adventure starts, the first monsters appear and the action forces players to escape, hide, and engage in melee combat.
A different setting
Silent Hill f distances itself from the Western environments of previous installments. The new setting features creatures inspired by Japanese horror, both from cinema and local folklore, and designs in the style of Junji Ito.
Silent Hill f
Classic designer Masahiro Ito is not involved in this installment, which gives it a distinct visual identity. The narrative and art direction aim for more psychological and symbolic horror.
What does the new gameplay reveal?
The 12 minutes that leaked show the game's opening moments in 4K resolution. The environment is as beautiful as it is unsettling: dense vegetation, abandoned houses, narrow paths, and a constant sense of threat.
In addition to escape scenes, there are also combat mechanics and sections that include puzzle solving. All of this is set in an environment that reinforces the tension at every step.
Release date and platforms
Silent Hill f arrives on September 25 for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5. It is co-produced by Konami and NeoBards Entertainment, the same team that worked on Resident Evil Resistance.
One of the main attractions is that the story was written by Ryukishi07, author of cult visual novels such as Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. This increases expectations for the game's narrative and tone.
