President Javier Milei described his meeting with Donald Trump at the White House as "an unprecedented and historic meeting by Argentina's standards", where both leaders sealed a political and commercial alliance that redefines the country's place on the international stage.
"Support from the United States is assured. Trump expressed total and absolute support for me. As long as I am president, we have that support", stated the head of state during an interview with Eduardo Feinmann on A24, to whom he also gifted his new book "The Construction of the Miracle," signed with the marker that Trump himself gave him, the same one with which the American president wrote the letter he dedicated to him.
During the private meeting in the Oval Office, Milei and Trump discussed "how to open the American market to Argentine products" and the possibility of new commercial advantages. "There are commercial advantages that the United States will be giving us, in different aspects," the President anticipated, although he clarified that "they still need to be finalized."

Government officials assure that the agreement will strengthen the Central Bank's reserves and serve to pay part of the debt with funds from the swap. "Inflation is going down, poverty as well, and country risk too. We are heading in the right direction", emphasized the head of state, highlighting that the country is undergoing an unprecedented stabilization process.
Milei maintained that the understanding reached with Washington is "a mutual benefit" and flatly denied the opposition's claims about hidden conditions or external impositions. "Both parties win with the agreement. This is a strategic and geopolitical decision that consolidates the bilateral relationship", he stated.
He also clarified that there was no discussion of a military base or a U.S. port on Argentine territory: "A thief believes everyone else is of his same condition. This is geopolitics, not a colony," the president remarked ironically.

He also denied that Trump had requested to cut ties with China. "A malicious journalist asked that. Bausili met with Asian businesspeople," he specified, reinforcing the pragmatic profile of his foreign policy.
With international support consolidated, Milei seeks to steer the final stretch of La Libertad Avanza's campaign toward the legislative elections on October 26. "It is not true that economic support depends on the outcome of the election," he clarified, convinced that the relationship with the United States will remain firm during his administration.
The President valued the sacrifice of workers and small and medium-sized enterprises in the recovery process: "We are halfway there, the effort is worth it. After October, with a new Congress, we will be able to move forward with the pending reforms," he promised.
Domestically, the head of state lashed out against the Kirchnerist candidate Jorge Taiana, whom he described as "a bomb planter, murderous Montonero, and Maduro's ally." "Taiana promotes terrorism in the region. He is a VIP vaccinated, a representative of Argentina's darkest past," Milei declared, differentiating himself from the opposition in the final stretch toward the elections.
He also harshly criticized the "kuka stone-throwers": "The black pieces play, the kukas break. Instead of building, they devote themselves to destroying what Milei has done," he remarked ironically, reaffirming his narrative of change in contrast to the political culture of Peronism.
The President dismissed rumors linking former deputy José Luis Espert to drug trafficking and denounced a "dirty campaign" by Kirchnerism. "I do not believe Espert has drug trafficking ties. It was part of an operation to divert attention from the main issues," he stated. "Espert stepped aside, took a step back, and I do not want to look back. I look forward," he concluded.
Milei announced that he will make adjustments to the Cabinet after the elections, in areas related to the economy and communication. "I will do whatever is necessary to fulfill what I promised Argentines," he assured, marking the beginning of a new stage of governance.
He also confirmed that the exchange rate bands will remain after the elections. "They will not move," he said emphatically. "The noise ends on the 26th. After that, we will continue with our economic roadmap without surprises," he added.
