The Argentine president will carry out a schedule of activities that will extend until Wednesday
As part of his visit, President Javier Milei was received this Tuesday at the Government Palace in Asunción by his Paraguayan counterpart, Santiago Peña, with whom he held a bilateral meeting. The Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, was also present at the meeting.
The Argentine president will carry out a schedule of activities that will extend until Wednesday. He arrived in Asunción during the early morning, after the national broadcast in which he presented the 2026 Budget, previously recorded in the White Hall of the Casa Rosada.
Milei arrived on a special flight and began his tour with his participation in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). During his speech, he took the opportunity to reaffirm the direction of his economic management, pay tribute to American activist Charlie Kirk, recently murdered by a left-wing terrorist, and highlight the administration of his Paraguayan counterpart, Santiago Peña.

"I want to begin by remembering Charlie Kirk, one of the greatest promoters of the ideas of freedom. A leader who never turned his back on open debate," the president said, referring to the right-wing activist who was murdered on September 10 after receiving a gunshot wound to the neck during an event at a university.
From the Sheraton Hotel in Asunción, President Javier Milei stated that Paraguay "is a model to follow in economic matters" for the region, highlighting that the country "chose for decades to embrace the ideas of freedom, and as a result managed to make inflation a thing of the past."

Looking ahead to the elections that will define the composition of the National Congress, Milei maintained: "It is essential to understand that there are no third ways on this path: any moderate option, in quotes, ends up being functional to the decadent system that we are working so hard to leave behind."
In front of the audience, he added: "There is no middle ground between surplus and deficit. There is no third way between a State that is dedicated to its essential functions and one that constantly increases its powers. Argentines have already tried, in the past, to move forward gradually, making concessions and leaving uncorrected aspects that were wrong."
