President Javier Milei and National Security Minister Patricia Bullrich met this Monday with Kristi Noem, United States Secretary of Security, recognized for her significant role in the Donald Trump administration and for being a prominent figure in his strict immigration policy and fight against illegal immigration.
Noem arrived at the Casa Rosada shortly before 10:30, accompanied by a significant security delegation, and was received by Bullrich. Argentine Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein was also present at the meeting.
The main topic on the agenda was Argentina's inclusion in the Visa Waiver Program, an agreement that would allow Argentine citizens to enter the United States for up to 90 days without needing to obtain a visa. According to sources consulted, the country's entry into the program is expected to be announced in the coming hours.

Who is Kristi Noem
In the United States, Noem leads the offensive against illegal immigration, overseeing policies for control, identification, and deportation of foreigners in irregular immigration situations, an essential axis of the Trump administration. These actions are carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
On her social media, the official often highlights her firm stance against illegal immigration. On her X profile, she has pinned a post from February of this year where she announces "a multimillion-dollar national and international advertising campaign warning undocumented immigrants" to leave their country immediately, "or they will face deportation and the impossibility of returning to the United States."

"This serves as a strong warning to criminal undocumented immigrants not to come to the United States. If they do, they will be pursued and deported. Thank you, Donald Trump, for securing our border and putting the United States first," concludes that post by Noem, current head of U.S. homeland security. Noem is expected to be in Argentine territory between Sunday, July 27, and Tuesday, July 29.
Noem's visit adds to the list of Trump administration figures who have arrived in Argentina so far this year. In April, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Southern Command Chief Alvin Holsey were in the country. In May, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also arrived.
