President Javier Milei took part last night in the National Festival of Doma and Folklore of Jesús María, where he was received with a standing ovation from the public after he confirmed his attendance at the traditional event in Córdoba.
The presence of the head of state created one of the most outstanding moments of the day, on a stage that already had a large crowd and with the performance of Chaqueño Palavecino as the main attraction.
At the moment of the presidential entrance, the renowned singer was on stage and, after he finished his song, he welcomed him amid the widespread applause of those in attendance.
"Thank you for coming to these criollo festivities, where there are so many wonderful people," the artist said while the national delegation was taking its seats. Together with Milei, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, was also present, and he was likewise acknowledged by the musician during the initial greeting.
Before going up on stage, the head of state spoke and thanked both the artist and the organizers of the event. "Thank you, dear Chaqueño, and many thanks to the organizers of this festival of Jesús María, which is so important for the country," he stated. In that context, he highlighted the cultural value of the gathering by pointing out that "it makes us stand out all over the world because of the respect and value of our traditions."
During his brief speech, Milei made a special mention of the host province and expressed his gratitude to the electorate of Córdoba. "How could I not thank the beloved province of Córdoba that helped me become president," he declared to the public. He then added: "That's why I did not want to be absent. Above all else, I want to thank you."
