The president's presence caused one of the day's most notable moments

President Javier Milei took part last night in the National Festival of Doma and Folklore of Jesús María, where he was received with a standing ovation from the public after he confirmed his attendance at the traditional event in Córdoba.

The presence of the head of state created one of the most outstanding moments of the day, on a stage that already had a large crowd and with the performance of Chaqueño Palavecino as the main attraction.

At the moment of the presidential entrance, the renowned singer was on stage and, after he finished his song, he welcomed him amid the widespread applause of those in attendance.

"Thank you for coming to these criollo festivities, where there are so many wonderful people," the artist said while the national delegation was taking its seats. Together with Milei, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, was also present, and he was likewise acknowledged by the musician during the initial greeting.

Before going up on stage, the head of state spoke and thanked both the artist and the organizers of the event. "Thank you, dear Chaqueño, and many thanks to the organizers of this festival of Jesús María, which is so important for the country," he stated. In that context, he highlighted the cultural value of the gathering by pointing out that "it makes us stand out all over the world because of the respect and value of our traditions."

During his brief speech, Milei made a special mention of the host province and expressed his gratitude to the electorate of Córdoba. "How could I not thank the beloved province of Córdoba that helped me become president," he declared to the public. He then added: "That's why I did not want to be absent. Above all else, I want to thank you."

The gesture of the head of state was reciprocated by the festival's organizers, who projected a welcome message on a special screen. "Welcome, president of the Nation, Javier Milei," could be read in white letters on a dark background, while the public accompanied it with applause.

The central moment of the night occurred when the president made a special request to Chaqueño Palavecino. "Chaqueño, may I request a song in honor of the love I feel for Córdoba? 'Amor salvaje'," he exclaimed enthusiastically, generating an immediate reaction from the public, who celebrated the request.

In response to that request, the singer reacted with surprise and complicity. "Oh, you are going to make me sing it earlier. Do you want to sing it with me?" he suggested from the stage. At first, Milei declined the invitation and explained his position with humor: he maintained that "he is not up to it" and he described himself as an "amateur." He also added: "You are a great artist, I am only an admirer."

Despite that response, Chaqueño Palavecino insisted that the head of state join the performance, even if only in a symbolic way. "Come on, come on. We are going to put the lyrics there so that you can sing. You sing rock, you sing Favio's songs, how are you not going to sing with Chaqueño?" he said before approaching to greet him with a hug.

Finally, the president accepted the invitation and dared to sing a few verses of the folklore classic "Amor Salvaje." During the performance, the artist even gave him the bridge of the song, which provoked another standing ovation from the public. At the end, Chaqueño assessed the moment with a celebratory phrase: "Great! You passed."

Milei concluded his participation with a joke and a general expression of gratitude: "Thank you all very much, and thank you for allowing me to ruin the song," he said with a laugh, in one of the most talked-about moments of the night at the traditional festival in Córdoba.
