In a joint operation in Jesús María, Córdoba, law enforcement officers and animal welfare personnel rescued thirty dogs in critical condition, without water or proper hygiene. The intervention revealed the deplorable conditions and overcrowding of animals on a private property. The closure of the breeding facility demonstrates the serious violation of regulations and the urgent need to enforce National Law 14,346 for animal abuse.
The location operated as an unregistered puppy mill without sanitary control, with animals crammed together and lacking veterinary care or adequate ventilation. According to official sources, many dogs showed signs of malnutrition, dehydration, and skin diseases, which reveal neglect and lack of basic care. The rescue also involved collaboration from veterinarians in the city.
After the raid, the animals were transferred to a municipal shelter where they received medical care, food, and baths, beginning a comprehensive recovery process. According to police sources, there were 28 Dachshunds (Salchicha), one Poodle (Caniche), and one Chihuahua. Currently, temporary homes are being sought for these rescued dogs.
