The Chinese brands in the local market continue to gain ground, and now Jetour has added a new electrified option in Argentina. The company officially presented the T2 i-DM, the plug-in hybrid variant of its medium SUV.
With this launch, the brand aims to reinforce its electrification strategy in the country and expand a range that already included the T1 i-DM, another plug-in hybrid model that arrived months ago.
The Jetour T2 i-DM combines a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor to offer a more powerful configuration than the T1.
The thermal engine delivers 156 hp and 220 Nm of torque, while the electric motor develops 224 hp and 390 Nm. The entire system is powered by a 27 kWh battery.
Unlike the exclusively gasoline versions of the range, this configuration maintains front-wheel drive.
The T2 i-DM shares a good part of its architecture with the T1 i-DM, although it adds improvements in power and dimensions.
In the T1, the turbo gasoline engine develops 140 hp and 215 Nm, while the electric motor delivers 204 hp and 310 Nm.
The new T2 aims for a more robust and family-oriented profile, with larger dimensions and a proposal more focused on comfort.
Within the brand's range, the T2 i-DM is positioned as a medium-large SUV.

One of the most striking details of its design is the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, accompanied by side opening and an aesthetic clearly inspired by off-road vehicles.

The new Jetour T2 i-DM is sold in a single configuration at a price of 66,500 dollars.
This price places it approximately 10,000 dollars above the gasoline variant of the T2 and about 30,700 dollars more expensive than the plug-in hybrid T1.
According to the brand, this model did not manage to enter the import quota without tariffs for electrified vehicles, which directly impacted the final price.
The warranty is 7 years or 200,000 kilometers and is offered in white, gray, and black colors.
