"They've just revoked my daughter Morena's house arrest. Unfortunately, she didn't comply with what the court required of her, just as it would be required of any ordinary citizen," stated Rial, in a statement where he avoided any attempt at justification and pointed to Morena's individual responsibility.
The journalist, who has closely accompanied various moments of his daughter in the public sphere, this time chose to keep his distance. "When you're given the benefit of awaiting trial at home, you must respect the rules, whether your name is Morena Rial or anything else," he stated firmly.
In that regard, he emphasized that his pain as a father doesn't overshadow his critical view of the decisions she made: "Obviously, it hurts me to have my daughter in this situation. She made a life decision despite having much better alternatives. She could have chosen the path of honesty, of studying, and she chose another one that I don't like and that has nothing to do with my family."
At 63 years old, with an extensive career as a media figure, Rial reflected on his own limits as a father: "I couldn't do anything else. I surely did it wrong, but I did everything I could. She is 27 years old, is an adult, has two children, and must take responsibility for her actions."

Finally, the host revealed that he had a conversation with Morena after the court's decision became known. "She's crying. Obviously, it hurts me as a father, but the only thing she had to do was comply with the basic rule of house arrest", he stated.
The host will now be in charge of the custody of the media personality's youngest son, Amadeo, who this October is about to turn one month old.
