Taiana presents as a 'model of success' an authoritarian regime that murders, tortures, persecutes, and censors
Jorge Taiana, the leading candidate for national deputy for Buenos Aires Province representing the Kirchnerist front Fuerza Patria, is a great admirer of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and has praised murderous dictators such as Mao Zedong, whom he links to the history of Peronism.
In various interviews and public statements, Taiana has presented the CCP as a "model of success" and "sacrifice," highlighting the historical and political ties between Argentina and China, without mentioning the numerous crimes surrounding the communist regime.
In an interview with the Chinese state agency Xinhua in April 2021, Taiana celebrated the CCP's centenary and described its trajectory as a "history of sacrifice and extraordinary success" from which, according to him, "political leaders around the world have much to learn."
He also asserted that the party's achievements are inseparable "from the reconstruction, the rebirth, and the progress of Chinese society in general," and that these one hundred years contain "many lessons" for those seeking "to transform a society and build a future of possibilities, equality, and benefits for all."

Taiana has consistently valued the relationship between the Justicialist Party and the Chinese regime, even expressing pride in "the excellent relationship we have with the Communist Party of China" and its role in strengthening bilateral cooperation. In June 2021, he reiterated this recognition, linking the CCP's successes with supposed shared agendas such as "defense of peace," multilateralism, and territorial integrity.
The Chinese Communist Party's crimes
However, these statements contrast with the record of the Chinese Communist Party, responsible for serious human rights violations. Among the most reported crimes are political persecution and murders of opponents, as occurred during the Cultural Revolution, and the detention and repression of activists, journalists, and contemporary dissidents.

Meanwhile, the CCP, admired by Kirchnerist Taiana, keeps strict control over information in the country through massive censorship, technological surveillance, and restriction of essential freedoms, as well as the persecution of ethnic and religious minorities, including the genocide of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang and the Falun Gong movement. These actions have been classified by international organizations as crimes against humanity.
Despite these international accusations, Taiana admires and presents the Chinese regime as an example of "success and sacrifice" and keeps a positive discourse about murderous dictators such as Mao Zedong, whom he links to Peronism.
Taiana's stance demonstrates an ideological alignment with an authoritarian model of government and raises doubts about his vision of democracy, civil rights, and Argentina's relationship with dictatorial regimes.
