Juli Poggio launched a jab at Luz Tito, the GH finalist, and sparked controversy

A comment from the former Gran Hermano contestant reignited the divide among fans

Although the latest edition of Gran Hermano (Telefe) already has a defined winner, the controversy remains alive outside the house. In recent hours, Julieta Poggio — finalist of the 2022 edition and current panelist on La Casa Streaming — stirred up a commotion on social media after making a suggestive comment about Luz Tito, who finished in third place in the 2024 season.

During a relaxed conversation on Rumis, the show she shares with Lola Latorre and Sebastián Manzoni (La Tía Sebi), Poggio referred to the reality show's final gala and compared her own experience to Luz's. "The runway was very long. Yesterday's was shorter," she remarked in a casual tone, alluding to the reception Luz received upon leaving the house.

The conversation became tense when La Tía Sebi recalled that Santiago del Moro interrupted the broadcast just as Luz was getting out of the car and meeting her audience. In response, Poggio made a comment that sparked immediate controversy:  "There's a reason..."

The insinuation did not go unnoticed. On social media, many users interpreted that Julieta was suggesting that the production avoided showing Luz's reception because she did not have enough fans. Within hours, the clip went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and unleashed a wave of criticism against the former housemate.

Additionally, during the same broadcast, both Poggio and Latorre questioned Luz's performance in the house. "She was 'neither here nor there'," Julieta opined, downplaying her participation. Lola added that her presence was "too passive" and that her reaching the final was due more to the context than to the game itself. In contrast, both highlighted Poggio's journey in the previous edition, emphasizing her "very clear personality" during the months of confinement.

Luz Tito's fandom did not take long to respond. Under the hashtag #LuzFinalistaDelPueblo, hundreds of users came out to support the Jujeña. "Almost seven months have passed and they still don't understand that Luz has support and a fandom," one follower wrote. Another message was harsher: "They want to bring her down because it bothers them that she made it so far without scandals or show."
