The Justice system archived this Monday the controversial complaint that Viviana Canosa had filed in April 2025 against several figures in the entertainment industry, including Lizy Tagliani, Marley, and Jey Mammon, for an alleged case of human trafficking involving minors.

Judge Ariel Lijo, from the Comodoro Py courts, made the decision in the first instance arguing the lack of evidentiary elements. According to the magistrate, despite the efforts of the court, the prosecution, and the plaintiffs, no progress was made in the investigation due to the non-appearance of most of the alleged victims summoned.

In the judicial document, it was highlighted that “an evident lack of evidentiary support has been verified due to the non-appearance of most of the alleged victims summoned.” Furthermore, in the cases where testimonies were taken, the accounts did not relate to the reported facts.

Lack of support for the accusation

The judge concluded his ruling by stating that there are no testimonies that account for a situation of vulnerability exploited or of restriction of freedom, therefore the punitive claim lacks support. Thus, the case was archived.

The complaint had generated a great stir in the entertainment environment from the moment Canosa aired it. More than a year later, the judicial decision marks a final point in this criminal instance.

Ángel de Brito was one of the first to comment on the news in his program Bondi Live. The host pointed out that no person came forward as a victim or gave testimony in the case where the journalist involved several celebrities. He also recalled that criminal and civil lawsuits against Canosa remain active, such as those from Negra Vernaci, Lizy Tagliani, and Flor Peña.

For her part, Lizy Tagliani celebrated the resolution and considered it the beginning of a longer path to repair the damage. Through her Instagram account, the comedian shared a video of Lucas Bertero and expressed that the hardest blow will come through civil means.

Reactions in the entertainment world

“This is the beginning of a long road ahead because the damage is repaired in all its instances,” wrote Tagliani. She added that she is grateful that Justice acts despite the limited tools and a fragile penal code. She also indicated that they will continue down the civil path, where “it hits the pockets.”

The host closed her message with optimism: “Always with our heads held high until the end.” Her words reflect the relief of the involved figures after more than a year of public exposure due to the complaint.

The archiving of the case highlights the importance of having concrete evidence before making serious accusations such as human trafficking. In the media environment, the case generated debates about responsibility when reporting and the impact that such accusations have on the lives of the mentioned individuals.

Although the criminal route is closed for now, civil actions continue their course and could have economic consequences for the complainant. The episode closes judicially but leaves repercussions in the Argentine entertainment world.
