Karin Cohen spoke about her departure from El Nueve: 'It's difficult to be where you already...'

Karin Cohen spoke candidly about her departure from Todas las Tardes and criticized El Nueve's decision.

El Nueve moves forward with strong changes in its programming and Karin Cohen, who hosted Todas las Tardes, expressed her discomfort about staying on air.

In a conversation with Marina Calabró on Calabró 107.9 (El Observador), the host revealed that she was already aware that her continuity was uncertain. "They intended to change the programming. They told me they were reviewing whether we would continue or not: there was a rating requirement, but we never dropped below the average," she assured.

She also explained that since January the show was extended to three hours, which made the numbers even more complicated: "We know well that it's impossible to maintain a good average in that time."

"It's tedious to be where they no longer want you on air"

Karin Cohen was blunt about her situation at El Nueve and made her discomfort clear. "From the first moment I had the uncertainty, I felt uncomfortable. It's tedious to be doing something in a place where they no longer want you on air," she stated.

In another interview with Santiago Riva Roy for LAM (América TV), the host delved into her sadness about the end of the show: "I've been in this for over 30 years. It doesn't stop being a bummer because I'm holding an air that I know is ending..."

How did she react when she saw her photo removed at El Nueve?

One of the most uncomfortable moments was when she noticed that her image had been removed from the hallways of the channel before Todas las Tardes ended. "I went to get a coffee and saw there was a hole in the wall... but I was still holding three hours of air," she recounted.

Despite the situation, she tried to take it philosophically: "It's more ego than anything else. One day we're here and the next we're not. I have the support of my colleagues, who are the best, and I'm super proud of them."
