The leader of Fuerza Popular is already projecting herself as the elected president of Peru and promises to form a government open to various political and technical sectors to tackle the crisis

Although the official proclamation has not yet been finalized, Keiko Fujimori has already begun to act as the next president of Peru. With a lead that electoral authorities consider practically irreversible over Roberto Sánchez, the candidate from Fuerza Popular announced that she is working on forming a broad-based cabinet, a signal intended to convey stability and build consensus in a country deeply polarized after the presidential runoff.

In her first statements after consolidating her electoral lead, Fujimori stated that her priority will be to form a government team made up of professionals with experience and management capacity, regardless of their party affiliation. As she explained, the goal is to build an administration capable of responding to the economic and social challenges facing the country.

The future president asserted that Peru needs a phase of political reconciliation after a campaign marked by strong ideological confrontations and mutual accusations. In this regard, she assured that she will seek to incorporate figures from various democratic sectors into the government who share a commitment to institutional stability and economic growth.

These statements contrast with the stance taken by her rival Roberto Sánchez, who continues to denounce an alleged electoral fraud and refuses to acknowledge the results.

In recent days, the candidate from Juntos por el Perú has pushed for new legal actions to try to annul votes cast abroad and warned that he will not recognize a government led by Fujimori under the current conditions. However, electoral bodies have repeatedly rejected the challenges presented by his political space.

Meanwhile, financial markets and various business sectors have reacted positively to the prospect of an orderly transition. The formation of a technical and plural cabinet could help restore investor confidence and generate greater predictability for the Peruvian economy.

Among the main challenges that the next government will face are economic slowdown, citizen insecurity, strengthening democratic institutions, and the need to reduce the political polarization that has deepened in recent years.

Although the formal proclamation by electoral authorities is still pending, Keiko Fujimori's message makes it clear that she is already focused on the governing stage. With a broad-based cabinet and a discourse aimed at national unity, the leader of Fuerza Popular seeks to begin her mandate by conveying an image of stability and openness at a decisive moment for the future of Peru.
