A Kirchnerist councilman who is a pedophile resigned after allegations of sexual abuse of girls.
The whereabouts of the Unión por la Patria pedophile, accused of abusing girls between 8 and 14 years old, are unknown
The province of Buenos Aires is once again embroiled in controversy with a new case that directly impacts Kirchnerism. In Tornquist, the pedophile councilman Matías Agustín "Cayu" Rojas, a member of the Unión por la Patria bloc, submitted his resignation this Monday after multiple allegations of sexual abuse against minors came to light. The now former councilman is accused of committing at least four acts of abuse against two girls from Saldungaray, which apparently occurred in 2024.
The cases are being investigated by the sexual crimes prosecutor of Bahía Blanca, Marcelo Romero Jardín, and supervised by Guarantee Judge No. 2, Guillermo Mércuri. The first complaint arose from the statement of a witness at the Women's and Family Police Station of Tornquist, who indicated that Rojas allegedly forced one of the victims to undress and sit on his lap.

New testimonies and more victims
With the progress of the investigation, the Functional Unit of Investigation and Trial No. 14 incorporated other statements that expanded the case file. Mothers of different girls appeared in court and stated that their daughters, when they were minors, were victims of groping and sexual advances by the Kirchnerist leader. According to official reports, expert examinations and four Gesell chamber interviews will be conducted to protect the integrity of the victims.
The prosecution also requested precautionary measures and the formal identification of the accused, in a context in which Rojas's whereabouts are not precisely known.
The mayor of Tornquist, Sergio Bordoni, confirmed the councilman's resignation: "We can't have someone with criminal charges in the Council. He himself submitted his resignation today, Monday, and he will be replaced by Luciana Mainero, who currently works in the Tourism Department of Saldungaray and Sierra de la Ventana," he explained.

From the local opposition, the leader of Somos Tornquist, Luis Castro, was categorical in criticizing Kirchnerism for covering up the accused: "He submitted his resignation, but the truth is that the political group should have asked him to step aside earlier. These are extremely serious acts and silence doesn't help. Justice must act, but what matters is supporting the families."
On his social media, Castro had stated a few days ago: "In the face of the public and judicial complaints that the councilman faces for sexual abuse of minors, the truth is it's appalling that we still don't officially know whether he continues to hold the position or not. We all have the presumption of innocence, but in cases like this, what is appropriate is to step aside from the position."
