Jorge Taiana, the current candidate for national deputy for the province of Buenos Aires for the Kirchnerist front Fuerza Patria, was arrested on June 26, 1975 during the constitutional government of María Estela Martínez de Perón.
His arrest, which lasted until 1982, occurred as a result of a raid on his residence where military weapons, explosives, and documents linking him to the left-wing terrorist group Montoneros were found.
The raid was carried out by the Argentine Federal Police in Taiana's apartment, located at Malabia 3124/26, 9th floor B, in Buenos Aires. According to the official records of case No. 11,120 of the Federal Court, the police intervention made it possible to seize military weapons, projectiles, explosives, and documents related to subversive activities.

The operation included the arrest of both Taiana and his then wife, Nora Graciela Iturraspe de Taiana, known by the alias "Inés," who was also a member of Montoneros.
