ANMAT banned two counterfeit olive oils for using fake health registrations and ordered their removal from the market

ANMAT ordered the withdrawal of two olive oils from the market that were being sold as legitimate products but turned out to be counterfeit. The measure, published in the Official Gazette, applies to both supermarkets and online sales platforms.
The prohibited items are "Morando Premium" and "Estancia Olivares." Both used non-existent RNE and RNPA numbers, which is why they were classified as fraudulent and removed from circulation throughout the country.

The Morando Premium oil case
Provision 7214/2025 indicated that the product labeled as "Morando Premium extra virgin olive oil, first cold pressing, RNPA 03001163-5, RNE 03000150" was a fake item.
The investigation began after a private individual filed a complaint. The National Food Institute (INAL) verified that the registration numbers were false. For this reason, its production, packaging, and marketing in any format or batch were prohibited.
Estancia Olivares oil was also banned
Provision 7215/2025 applied to "Estancia Olivares brand extra virgin olive oil, first cold pressing, origin Mendoza, RNE 13310522 and RNPA 13496730."
El aceite Estancia Olivares también fue prohibido
The provincial health authority confirmed that the registration numbers printed on the label did not exist. In response, ANMAT ordered the withdrawal of the product and banned the sale of any other item using those false numbers.
What this means for consumers
With this resolution, "Morando Premium" and "Estancia Olivares" oils can no longer be marketed in Argentina. ANMAT reminded consumers of the importance of always verifying that RNPA and RNE appear on the label and are valid.
