Formula 1 2025 entered its final stretch with the Las Vegas Grand Prix. On a vibrant night, Max Verstappen once again demonstrated his dominance and claimed victory, while Franco Colapinto completed all 50 laps despite a persistent issue with his Alpine.
The Dutch four-time champion exercised overwhelming dominance from the start. After a chaotic start, marked by a mistake by Lando Norris in the first corner despite starting from pole, Verstappen took advantage of the situation, seized the lead, and never let it go. Even with a three-second pit stop, far from ideal, the Red Bull driver managed with precision and controlled his pace to secure his sixth victory of the season, now just ten points behind Oscar Piastri in the title race.

The race unfolded without major incidents, although the Virtual Safety Car was deployed on two occasions: first due to the initial problems of Liam Lawson, and then because of a collision between Alexander Albon and Lewis Hamilton, which left debris from the seven-time champion's Ferrari scattered on the track. Albon also received a penalty for a previous incident with Colapinto at the start, which affected the Argentine from the opening meters. Andrea Kimi Antonelli was also penalized for a false start.
Additionally, Las Vegas had three retirements: Lance Stroll and Gabriel Bortoleto were forced to retire early, while Albon withdrew definitively on lap 39 after a difficult weekend. Thus, a demanding Grand Prix concluded without surprises at the front, with Verstappen remaining firm on his path toward another world title.
Behind the Dutchman, Norris recovered well from the initial setback and finished in a valuable second place, crucial for his championship aspirations. George Russell, with a solid and consistent performance, completed an all-British podium.
The Top 10 was completed by Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Isack Hadjar, Nico Hulkenberg, and Lewis Hamilton, the latter delivering a remarkable comeback after starting the race from 19th position.
Regarding Colapinto, the Argentine managed to move up and fight for 11th place, but a diffuser issue with his Alpine complicated the second half of his race. Even so, with medium tires and managing an unstable car, he was able to finish in 17th position, while his teammate Pierre Gasly finished the race in 15th place.
