La Libertad Avanza and PRO reached an electoral agreement to run together in CABA
The deal was sealed after a lightning-fast negotiation led by Karina Milei and Mauricio Macri
It was confirmed that La Libertad Avanza, led by President Javier Milei, and PRO, led by Mauricio Macri, will compete together in Buenos Aires City. The pact was sealed after a lightning negotiation led by Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency, and former President Macri.
The most notable aspect of the agreement is that PRO will take the fifth and sixth spots on the list of deputies, although with the condition of removing any symbolic reference from the ballot, including the party name and the characteristic yellow color, in line with what was previously agreed in Buenos Aires Province.

Despite the tension that marked the Buenos Aires City campaign in May, it was Macri himself who took charge of the negotiation, unlike what happened in Buenos Aires Province, where he delegated that role to Deputy Cristian Ritondo. This time, he decided not to involve Jorge Macri, who is distanced from the Mileis and not willing to share the ballot in the national elections.
At the City Government headquarters, located on Uspallata Street, and before the agreement was confirmed, those close to the situation offered an interpretation of the PRO leader's strategy: "Mauricio sees it as a chance not to finish third. Others believe it's better to lose or win little with their own," they stated, according to Infobae.

Although the finer details of the understanding are still unknown, the spots that Karina Milei would have reserved for PRO, and which according to estimates from both sides would secure at least one seat, correspond to the Chamber of Deputies. Meanwhile, regarding the Senate, the list would be entirely libertarian and would be headed by Minister Patricia Bullrich, although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
