La Libertad Avanza leads the single ballot in the PBA with José Luis Espert at the top.
After the drawing for the order of the lists on the single ballot in the Province of Buenos Aires, LLA will be listed first
In a new milestone of institutional transparency, the Javier Milei Government has officially announced the drawing of the order of the parties on the Single Paper Ballot (BUP) for the upcoming legislative elections on October 26, 2025. The result was clear: La Libertad Avanza (LLA), the ruling party led by José Luis Espert at the top of the list in Buenos Aires province, will occupy the first place on the ballot, while Kirchnerism, under the name Fuerza Patria, was relegated to the fourth slot.
This arrangement is strategic in the country's most populous district, where key seats in the Chamber of Deputies will be renewed. It will also be the first national legislative election with a single paper ballot, a system promoted by the libertarian government to ensure greater transparency, prevent ballot theft and concealment, and put an end to the use of so-called "rubber stamp" parties that only pursued spurious objectives related to the acquisition of state funds.

In total, 17 parties will compete in the Buenos Aires elections, and the drawing determined the following order on the ballot:
La Libertad Avanza
Partido Nuevo Buenos Aires
Liber.ar
Fuerza Patria
Frente de Izquierda y de los Trabajadores - Unidad
Frente Patriota Federal
Partido Demócrata Progresista
Unión Liberal
Coalición Cívica (A.R.I)
Movimiento Político Social y Cultural Proyecto Sur
Propuesta Federal para el Cambio
Provincias Unidas
Partido Libertario
Potencia
Unión Federal
Nuevos Aires
Movimiento Avanzada Socialista

The new voting mechanism establishes that citizens may choose to mark a complete list or select candidates individually, optimizing representativeness. According to Decree 915/2024, a vote will be valid if an official single ballot is used and the marks in the boxes are clear and precise. Conversely, it will be considered void if more than one group is marked in the same category, if a non-official ballot is used, or if the document shows tears or improper inscriptions.
The electoral process was officially regulated by Decree 335/2025, which confirmed the election date: Sunday, October 26. The particularity of this year is the suspension of the Open, Simultaneous, and Mandatory Primaries (PASO), a decision adopted by Congress during the extraordinary sessions and welcomed by the public for the millions saved as a result.
