La Libertad Avanza significantly expands its lead heading into the legislative elections

According to a new survey, President Javier Milei's party holds an advantage of almost 16 points over Kirchnerism

A new national survey by consulting firm Management & Fit, completed on the same day that the courts upheld a corruption conviction against former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, reveals a strong electoral surge for La Libertad Avanza ahead of the national legislative elections on October 26.

The study shows that the space led by president Javier Milei not only widens its lead over Kirchnerism, but also dominates the electoral landscape and records strong support across broad sectors of society.

The survey included 2,200 interviews conducted nationwide between May 27 and June 10, using a combination of in-person, online, and telephone methodologies, and a margin of error of +/- 2.1%.

Support for the libertarian administration

Before addressing the electoral outlook, the survey shows a series of indicators that reveal a slight but sustained rebound for the government:

49.2% approve of the national administration, which represents an increase of nearly 3 points compared to April.

Although in reports from other consulting firms Javier Milei's positive image is much higher, here it reaches 42.3%, consolidating a solid base of support.

28.8% of people rate the current economic situation positively, with an improvement compared to April. Although the sense of crisis persists, 46.9% expect future improvements.

The majority supports key government decisions: 73% agree with the tightening of migration policy and the charging of public services for non-residents.

Unprecedented electoral advantage

In the electoral section, the numbers show a clear trend. When asked whether they would vote for an officialist or opposition candidate in the upcoming legislative elections, 47.3% lean toward supporting the ruling party or its allies, compared to 44.2% who prefer an opposition candidate. This is the largest advantage recorded since March and marks a reversal from April, when the opposition led by five points.

But the most striking data emerge from a direct question: “Which political space would you vote for if the legislative elections were held tomorrow?” In this case, La Libertad Avanza leads with 42.6% voting intention, outpacing Unión por la Patria/Kirchnerism by 15.7 points, which is left behind with 26.9%.

The rest of the spaces are far behind in the competition:

  • Federal Peronism (Schiaretti): 6.6%
  • PRO: 5.9%
  • The Left (FIT): 3.1%
  • UCR: 2.9%

These numbers not only consolidate La Libertad Avanza as the country's main political force, but also reflect a structural change in the Argentine political map. With just a few months to go before the elections, the ruling coalition not only keeps its electoral base, but also expands it, capitalizing on the wear and tear of its rivals and the public's expectations for the country's economic direction.

Although the scenario may change, the data are encouraging for the ruling party. If the trend continues, Javier Milei could not only reaffirm his leadership in Congress, but also expand it and move forward with more structural reforms.
