The Lieutenant Governor of Mendoza left PRO and will join La Libertad Avanza
Hebe Casado supports the decision made by Minister Patricia Bullrich a few weeks ago
The vice governor of Mendoza, Hebe Casado, announced through her account on X that she formalized her resignation from PRO, the political space of Mauricio Macri. According to her, tomorrow she will sign her incorporation into La Libertad Avanza of president Javier Milei.
In her post, Casado shared an image of the National Registry of Political Party Affiliates, where it shows that she is no longer registered as a member of PRO, after completing the process before the Electoral Justice of the province. “Step 1, achieved,” she wrote alongside the image.
From PRO of Mendoza, they pointed out that the relationship with Hebe Casado was already in "very bad terms" and accused the provincial Government of carrying out a political maneuver to approach the libertarian space.

Casado, politically aligned with the National Security Minister, Patricia Bullrich, justified her decision as a personal choice: “We must support Javier Milei,” she stated.
Meanwhile, the governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo (UCR), participated in a panel of political leaders at the event organized by the United States Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham), where he suggested that it would be “reasonable” to reach an understanding between Juntos por Mendoza (UCR and PRO) and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) with a view to the upcoming legislative elections.
“The Government is obliged to win these elections, and all of us who support the general orientation of the economy must try to ensure it doesn't come out weakened from the midterm election. I am in that, and other governors are also in that,” emphasized Cornejo, who is considering unifying the provincial legislative elections with the national ones to facilitate a common candidacy with LLA and ensure a favorable result.

Bullrich's affiliation
This happens after Minister Patricia Bullrich first joined La Libertad Avanza (LLA), in an event held a few weeks ago. "It's been a year and a half since I made the decision to join a project for deep change in Argentina. We are carrying out this change with an entire cabinet," highlighted Bullrich in a conversation with A24.
Additionally, the minister noted that she made the decision "a long time ago" and emphasized: "When the second round began, I decided to support Milei. This is an act of coherence, being part of the Government and part of the Government's party."
"This affiliation means further support for all the work we are doing, first and foremost, all Argentines, and secondly, the officials. The changes we are making deserve that I am taking this step," she stressed.
