As had already been done recently, line D of the Buenos Aires subway will modify its usual schedule starting this Wednesday, January 28 to support the dispersal of the crowds after the matches that River plays at Monumental stadium. The measure will debut after the match against Gimnasia de La Plata, scheduled for 20:00, and will be extended throughout 2026.

According to Subterráneos de Buenos Aires (SBASE) and the concessionaire Emova, the night service will be extended until 23:30 in order to facilitate fans' return and promote the use of public transportation at mass events.

The special scheme establishes that the last train will depart from Congreso de Tucumán station, which will be the only one enabled for passenger entry at that time. In addition, only two access points will be open. During the journey, users will only be able to get off at the stations Olleros, Palermo, Pueyrredón, and 9 de Julio.

The authorities recommended that passengers plan their return in advance and check the access points that are enabled in order to avoid inconveniences at the end of each match.

Previously, the president of SBASE, Javier Ibáñez, had highlighted the importance of this type of measure: ""The subway is an essential service for the City, especially at mass events, because it allows people to move quickly and reduce the use of private transportation. We're very pleased to support this initiative, which simplifies the experience for thousands of people who are going to be able to go to the stadium and return more quickly".

Meanwhile, Stéfano Di Carlo, the top executive of Millonario, had emphasized the importance of the initiative for the fans: ""It's very important to continue improving everything that contributes to the matchday experience, from the moment you purchase your ticket until the dispersal from the stadium. We work constantly so that every member and fan can have greater comfort, order, and agility when coming to Monumental".
