The Los Angeles Lakers were left out of the play-offs, and LeBron cast doubt on his future.
The King's team lost 103-96 in the fifth game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, being eliminated with a tough 4-1 in the first-round series
After the Los Angeles Lakers' fall in the NBA play-offs against the Minnesota Timberwolves,LeBron James made a strong statement about his professional future and a possible retirement. The still-active legend of the American league stated that he will take some time to evaluate the next steps.
With Rudy Gobert as the leader, the Timberwolves won 103-96 and closed the series with a convincing 4-1, leaving the Los Angeles team without options. This outcome, along with the feeling of having been outplayed throughout the entire series, left LeBron James full of questions about his continuity in the NBA.

"I don't know how much longer I want to keep playing," he stated. He also gave a brief explanation of his situation: "It's something I have to sit down with myfamily, my wife, my support group, talk it over with them and see what happens. It's also a conversation with myself about how much longer I want to keep playing... We'll see".
Recently, the King became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Additionally, this elimination ended his twenty-second season in the league, another unbelievable milestone that will be difficult to surpass.

Despite averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game, outstanding numbers for his stage of career, he once again missed the chance to compete for his fifth ring, even after the unexpected addition of Luka Doncic during the February market.
LeBron has the option to extend his stay with the Lakers for one more season, with a contract of 52 million dollars. However, he could also declare himself a free agent to negotiate with other teams or consider definitive retirement.
LeBron managed to play with his son
This season also marked a personal milestone, as he was able to officially share the court with his son Bronny, who had a limited participation in his debut. An achievement that LeBron placed above many of his accolades.
"Being able to play the sport I love and do it alongside my son all year is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling journeys I've been on," he stated.
