Mabe, an appliance manufacturer, announced a reorganization of its operations in Córdoba to optimize processes and sustain production. The measure is part of an efficiency plan aimed at responding swiftly to an increasingly competitive market shaped by declining consumption. The company emphasized that the decision aims to preserve local employment and strengthen competitiveness in the face of rising imports.
Mabe will consolidate its operations in two key centers within the province. In Luque, the manufacturing of washing machines, dryers, and stoves will be concentrated, following a recent investment of 25 million dollars to strengthen its production capacity. Meanwhile, Río Segundo will maintain its activity as a processing, quality control, and storage center.

Investment and operational continuity
The company announced that its San Luis plant, dedicated to the manufacturing of refrigerators, will continue operating normally. The move is part of a regional strategy that prioritizes operational sustainability in a context of tax pressure and lower domestic consumption. According to company spokespersons, Argentina remains "one of the most relevant markets" for the Mexican group.
Mabe's reorganization seeks to keep local value chains active, protecting the flow of suppliers and the stability of its distributor network. The company emphasized that the new production scheme will allow it to "guarantee efficiency, quality, and competitiveness" in a market increasingly open to imported products.
Según voceros de la firma, Argentina sigue siendo “uno de los mercados más relevantes” para el grupo mexicano.
International presence and national commitment
In January 2022, Mabe acquired all of José M. Alladio e Hijos S.A., a traditional Córdoba-based manufacturer of the Drean, Aurora, and Patriot brands. With this purchase, it fully integrated its operations under a single production structure, strengthening its presence in the country.
Since its arrival in Argentina, the Mexican company has consistently invested in technology and workforce training. This new step reinforces its commitment to the national industry, focusing on productivity and efficiency as pillars of growth. In a challenging scenario, Mabe seeks to establish itself as a key player in the Argentine appliance sector.
