Just over a month before the Finalissima against Spain, Alexis Mac Allister is once again at the center of attention of European giants. According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United is preparing "a surprising offer" in an attempt to sign the Argentine midfielder and complete one of the most shocking transfers of recent years in the Premier League.
The Red Devils' interest responds to the need to strengthen the midfield in light of Casemiro's imminent departure. In that context, the world champion appears as a priority option because of his stature, ball-handling ability, and experience in English football. The idea would be to move for him in the middle of the year, once the 2026 World Cup is over.
However, the deal is far from simple. Mac Allister has a contract with Liverpool until mid-2028, a release clause close to 85 million euros, and his name is also believed to have attracted interest from other powerhouses such as Real Madrid. In an attempt to narrow the financial gap, United could include players in the negotiation, among them Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, or Mason Mount.
