Marcelo Gallardo supported Lionel Scaloni after the defeat of the Argentine National Team in the final of the 2026 World Cup. The former River coach shared his thoughts on the team's loss to Spain.

What Marcelo Gallardo said about Scaloni and the National Team

The former River coach spoke on ESPN after the 2026 World Cup final and did not hold back in praising the coaching staff and players of the Albiceleste.

“I want to thank Scaloni, his coaching staff, and all the players for everything, for the representation. I will not stop saying it, I have felt very identified”, admitted Gallardo.

Despite the disappointment of the loss to Spain, Gallardo emphasized the recognition that Scaloni's work generates in Argentine football.
