Marcelo Saracchi, erased at Boca, is negotiating his departure to Celtic of Scotland.
The Uruguayan full-back is training separately from the squad due to an institutional decision, and the Scottish club is looking to sign him as soon as possible
Marcelo Saracchi's future at Boca appears to be far from La Ribera. After the arrival of Miguel Ángel Russo, the Uruguayan defender was excluded from the professional squad and began training alone due to an institutional decision. With no place left, the player sought alternatives and in recent hours an unexpected offeror has emerged: Celtic of Scotland.
The news was confirmed by journalist César Luis Merlo, who revealed that both clubs are already in talks. According to his report, Celtic's offer consists of a one-year loan with a fee, which would also include a purchase option.

Although there is still no final agreement, if the Scots increase the amount of that option, Boca would be willing to let him leave immediately.
The negotiation remains open and the European market is close to closing, so the full-back's future could be decided in the coming hours.
The reasons for his departure
Saracchi's current situation took an unexpected turn after the Club World Cup in the United States, where he even played minutes against Bayern Munich. However, upon returning to Buenos Aires he received the news that he would not be considered.
According to journalist Germán Grova, the management considered that the Uruguayan did not contribute to the squad's internal dynamics when he was on the bench: "At Boca they feel he is not a positive leader when he doesn't play, that he doesn't pull his weight when he is not a starter," he stated.

Since then, Saracchi has been sidelined and is now seeking a move to relaunch his career in Europe. If negotiations progress, Celtic could become his new destination.
