Mario Pergolini recalled his role as God in 'Floricienta' and the anger of the fans
The host recounted how the girls blamed him for Freezer's death and shared amusing anecdotes
Mario Pergolini revived his memorable role as God in Floricienta and shared an amusing experience about how he received the reaction from the fans. During Wednesday's broadcast on Otro día perdido (El Trece), the host recalled that the younger girls blamed him directly for "Freezer's" death.
"I played God in Floricienta. I was walking down the street, the main character had died, and I was the one who welcomed him," Pergolini explained, referring to the accident that ended the life of Federico Fritzenwalden, played by Juan Gil Navarro.

The episode from the first season featuring Freezer's death had a strong impact on viewers, especially the children's audience. For this reason, Pergolini recalled with humor:"Little girls would kick me in the street saying it was my fault." Even so, he acknowledged the opportunity given to him by Cris Morena:"Wonderful, I've always thanked Cris for the role. I'm a Cris Morena kid," he commented, laughing.
When he was asked how he felt acting in the show, Pergolini did not hide his humor:"Terrible. I watch it and say: 'Oh my God!'"

The truth behind Freezer's death
Cris Morena had chosen Pergolini to dress in white and welcome the show's main character to heaven after he was run over. From that moment, many fans blamed the producer for Federico Fritzenwalden's tragic departure.

However, in August 2024, during a tribute to her shows organized by Olga, Cris Morena clarified the real reason: "I didn't kill him! The actor finally confessed that he couldn't continue because I don't know what was happening to him," she said bluntly, referring to Juan Gil Navarro.
Navarro himself had previously explained on Socios del espectáculo (El Trece) that he wanted to explore other projects:"It wasn't easy for me or for the producers. I wanted to do other things." He also confessed that he did not want to be typecast as a leading man:"I was embarrassed and I thought it was stupid, this idea of saying: 'Hello, how are you? I'm the prince.' Going out dressed in light blue at the Gran Rex seemed ridiculous to me, like Ben Stiller," he said on De vuelta TV (América).
Navarro, who was 30 years old when he left the show, also revealed Cris Morena and her team's reaction: "They didn't like it at all, at all... they told me that nobody leaves a hit and that I was ungrateful."
