Rodolfo Arruabarrena started his second stint as Boca Juniors coach on the right foot. The team won 2-0 against Sarmiento in the Copa Argentina and, after the match, the Vasco made a positive assessment of the performance, highlighted areas to improve, confirmed that he expects new signings, and shared the ongoing contact he maintains with Leandro Paredes, who is focused with the Argentina National Team in the 2026 World Cup.
The coach valued the collective performance and the commitment of his players, although he made it clear that there is still room to grow. "We had a pretty complete match, obviously there are things to improve but they dared to play, we need to keep working," he stated.
Regarding the schedule Boca will face in the coming weeks, the coach expressed his desire for continuity in competition to consolidate the footballing idea: "We hope there are many matches in this month and a half, two months, playing every three or four days. We need to be prepared. We had a good preseason, the players need to believe more in their abilities and work harder. Today they played a good match."
