The Government of Javier Milei detailed the scope of the trade agreement reached between Argentina and the United States, in a press conference led by the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, together with Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno, at Casa Rosada.
During the announcement, the officials emphasized that the understanding must be approved by Congress and highlighted that it marks a turning point in the bilateral relationship, with a direct impact on regional economies and the country's productive fabric.
When opening his presentation, Adorni stressed the political and strategic value of the agreement within the framework of the foreign policy promoted by President Javier Milei. “This agreement shows and consolidates our regional leadership and is the result of the diplomatic efforts of this administration”, he stated.

In that regard, he explained that the treaty includes investment commitments, preferential access to the U.S. market for various industries, and the elimination of reciprocal tariffs for 1,675 Argentine products.
The official emphasized the magnitude of the market that Argentine companies will access as a result of this agreement. According to what he pointed out, “a new and enormous market for our companies” is opening up, which covers “more than 340 million people”. At the same time, he stated that the impact will not be only on exports, but will also be reflected in “more and better products for our consumers”.
Regarding the sectors covered, Adorni detailed that the agreement includes a reciprocal opening of the livestock sector and highlighted that Argentina “could quintuple its meat exports”, with direct effects on livestock provinces, including Buenos Aires. He also indicated that Formosa, Misiones, Chaco, Corrientes, and Entre Ríos will be in a position to export forestry and floriculture products without tariff barriers.
