The Ministry of Human Capital has launched a new supermarket discount program for retirees and pensioners who receive payments through ANSES. The measure aims to strengthen the purchasing power of this sector and support the improvements included in the 2026 Budget, which provides for a 5% increase in benefits above the projected inflation rate.
With this initiative, more than 7 million people will be able to access discounts on mass consumption products, which represents direct relief for their wallets and, at the same time, a boost for retail trade, since the program doesn't involve any cost to the State.
Details of supermarket discounts
The benefits include 10% discounts in all categories (except meat, appliances, and selected brands), and in some chains, 20% discounts are added on personal care and cleaning products.
- Disco, Jumbo, and Vea: 10% in all categories + 20% in personal care and cleaning, with no cap.
- Coto and La Anónima: 10% with no cap in all categories.
- Josimar: 15% with no cap in all categories.
- Carrefour: 10% in all categories with a cap of $35,000.
- Día: 10% on all products with a cap of $2,000 per transaction (can be combined with other promotions).
