The President presented his economic roadmap to global business leaders and called for investment in the country
During his visit to New York, President Javier Milei led a private meeting with the world's top business leaders at the Council of the Americas, where he presented the next stages of his economic program and called on investors to invest in the new Argentina promoted by his administration.
The head of state was accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno, and the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Alec Oxenford. During a presentation lasting almost half an hour, Milei outlined the pillars of his macroeconomic stabilization plan, the reduction of public spending, and the opening of new productive sectors to foreign capital.

According to attendees, the meeting—which lasted more than 90 minutes—combined a detailed presentation by the President with a direct exchange of questions from the executives. Representatives from global firms such as Morgan Stanley, Pepsico, Cisco Systems, Glencore, Pfizer, Merck, Salesforce, FedEx, The AES Corporation, Newmont Corporation and Continental Grain Company, among others, participated.
The head of state spoke with technical precision about fiscal developments, exchange rate policy, and the structural reforms currently underway, framed within a six-year horizon of sustained development. “It was an excellent meeting. Milei explained everything and replied with a level of detail we didn't expect,” said one of the business leaders present.
The President also provided a political analysis of the new balance of power in Congress, emphasizing that the ruling party now has a more favorable scenario to move forward with deregulation and state modernization laws.
Since the beginning of his administration, Milei has sought to consolidate international confidence in the Argentine economy by promoting a stable, transparent, and intervention-free framework that had previously deterred investment during past governments. In this context, his speech at the Council was interpreted as a gesture of continuity and predictability toward the business world. Javier Milei junto al ministro caputo.
At the end of the meeting, Susan Segal, President and CEO of the Council of the Americas, praised the President's presentation and highlighted his reform program: “This is a great opportunity for Argentina and for all of Latin America, an example of how a country’s direction can be changed.” She also emphasized that “the most important international investors are investing heavily in Argentina, and they're doing so because of the reforms and the Government's program.”
The meeting in New York consolidated Milei's international profile as a reformist leader and reaffirmed global capital's interest in the economic transformation process the country is undergoing.
