The president of Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella, delivered an extensive report to the Attorney General on Tuesday that compiles 82 cases of alleged irregularities and corruption linked to the administration of leftist Gustavo Petro between 2022 and 2026.
The document, titled âBook of Truthâ, consists of 135 pages and was presented to the Attorney General, Luz Adriana Camargo, along with other Colombian public agencies. âI formally place the White Book in your hands, hoping that you will do what is legally required,â De la Espriella expressed during the delivery, which took place on the National Day of the Fight Against Corruption.
The compendium includes complaints and background related to different areas of the Colombian state, including the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), the health system, public enterprises, and various government programs.

During the event, the president stated that Colombian society demands explanations about the destination of public resources during Petro's four years in office.
âThe country wants to know what happened, wants to know where the resources went, wants to know who participated in the looting, who benefited, and who allowed this disaster to occur,â he asserted.

The presentation aims for the competent authorities to analyze the 82 highlighted episodes and determine if there are administrative or criminal responsibilities. The document, according to the published information, focuses on cases that the new government considers representative of the irregularities that occurred during the previous administration.
The institutional offensive against corruption occurs in the early days of De la Espriella's administration, who also began his term by focusing on drug trafficking and armed organizations operating in Colombia.
