Milei delivered a speech before global CEOs in New York and visited the Rebbe's tomb to give thanks for his electoral victory

President Javier Milei arrived in New York as part of his international tour, where he will hold meetings with important global business leaders and make a spiritual visit to the Ohel, the mausoleum of the Rebbe of Lubavitch, at the Montefiore Jewish cemetery.

The head of state arrived in Manhattan together with Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency; Pablo Quirno, Foreign Minister; Luis Caputo, Minister of Economy; and Alec Oxenford, Argentine Ambassador to the White House. The presidential plane landed at JFK airport around 3 a.m. (Argentine time), coming from Mar-a-Lago, where Milei attended the CPAC donors' gala organized by Republican leaders.

Meeting with global business leaders

At noon, the head of state will enter the headquarters of the Council of the Americas to deliver a speech to representatives of thirteen multinational companies with a strong presence in Argentina: Continental Grain Company, Newmont, McEwen Copper, Morgan Stanley, Salesforce, AES, Pepsico, Pfizer, Merck, Glencore, FedEx, and Cisco Systems.

In his presentation, Milei will reaffirm his program of fiscal balance, deregulation, and economic openness, pillars of his plan to attract foreign capital and modernize the Argentine economy. He will then answer questions from executives about the structural reforms planned for 2026.

"Ultimately, the Argentina of the future, with all its advantages fully leveraged, is unimaginable for any of us. In this regard, I want to invite you to be part of the future we are building," Milei stated days ago at the America Business Forum.

The president will insist on his message of confidence to investors: "I want to invite you to invest in this country and demonstrate the power and moral superiority of capitalism," he emphasized in his latest speech to business leaders.

Faith and gratitude

After the meeting with business leaders, Milei will make a private visit to the Ohel, the place where the remains of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the legendary Rebbe of Lubavitch, a central figure of modern Judaism, rest.

The Argentine head of state will attend to give thanks for his electoral victory on October 26, a victory that marked a deep transformation in the Argentine political landscape. This is not the first time Milei has visited the Ohel: the economist has publicly acknowledged his devotion to the figure of the Rebbe, whom he considers a spiritual and intellectual guide.

Rabbi Schneerson was the seventh leader of the Chabad Lubavitch dynasty, known for revitalizing the movement after World War II and expanding its global influence. He is remembered for his message of hope, faith, and work as a path to individual and collective redemption.

Next stop: Bolivia

After completing his agenda in New York, Milei, Karina, and Quirno will travel to La Paz to attend the inauguration of Bolivia's president-elect, Rodrigo Paz, on November 8.

The change of leadership in the neighboring country represents a strategic opportunity for Milei: he seeks to strengthen economic and political cooperation with a like-minded government, in a continent marked by ideological divisions.

The presidential delegation will return to Buenos Aires on Saturday afternoon, after concluding a tour that combined politics, economics, and spirituality, reaffirming the international profile of the Argentine head of state.
