Milei travels to the United States to meet with businesspeople ahead of the elections

The President will travel to Los Angeles and Las Vegas to seek investments and hold key meetings

President Javier Milei has confirmed a new trip to the United States in the midst of the electoral campaign. The visit will take place right after the end of La Libertad Avanza's campaign in Buenos Aires province, where the ruling party seeks to defeat Kirchnerism in the September elections.

Events in the province before departure

Before flying to North America, Milei will lead an event in Junín, which will mark the formal launch of the Buenos Aires campaign. The event was scheduled for mid-month but was suspended on the recommendation of the Military House due to weather conditions. It will finally take place at the Teatro San Carlos, with a capacity of 2,000 people.

The president will also visit Lomas de Zamora and will close the campaign at a club located between Moreno and General Rodríguez, accompanied by the candidates from his coalition.

Trip to Los Angeles and Las Vegas

With the electoral ban already in effect, Milei will travel to Los Angeles to attend a meeting organized by economist Michael Milken, a leading figure at the institute that bears his name. There, he will hold meetings with about 50 international business leaders interested in learning about the country's economic direction.

Afterwards, the President will travel to Las Vegas, where he will meet with executives from hotel chains. He will also take the opportunity to attend a theater performance by his former partner, Fátima Florez, at the Sahara Hotel Casino, as part of the celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Political and economic context

The trip takes place amid political tensions. The opposition managed to block key government initiatives in Congress, including the veto on the disability emergency and deregulation decrees.

Milei stated at the Rosario Stock Exchange that electoral uncertainty increases the "kuka risk," referring to the Kirchnerist opposition.

International agenda focused on the U.S.

The President will return on September 6 to be present at the Buenos Aires elections on the 7th, considered strategic for projecting La Libertad Avanza's strength toward October.

Meanwhile, Milei could receive Georgia Governor Brian Kemp at the Casa Rosada, an ally of the Republican Party and close to Donald Trump. The head of state keeps a close relationship with American leaders, as seen in his recent meetings with high-level officials in Washington.
