Million-dollar robbery in Pozo del Molle: former employee of cheese distributor arrested
The 26-year-old suspect was arrested after a raid; the $7 million loot hasn't been recovered yet
A 47-year-old businessman reported having suffered a million-dollar theft at his cheese distribution company, located in the town of Pozo del Molle, Córdoba. The criminals entered through a hole in the roof and forced a window to access the safe. The amount stolen is approximately 7 million pesos (15,432 pounds).
Prosecutor René Bosio, who is in charge of the investigation, stated that the perpetrators "were not amateurs," suggesting prior knowledge of the location. The first leads pointed to a 26-year-old former employee of the company. He was arrested after a search of his home, where he tried to escape when he saw the police arrive, but was apprehended nonetheless.
So far, the money has not been recovered, nor have the other individuals involved been identified. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the facts and determine whether there were more accomplices. This case highlights the need to strengthen internal security measures in companies.

Insecurity in the interior of Córdoba: a worrying trend
This incident adds to a series of million-dollar thefts that have occurred in the interior of Córdoba in recent months. The method of entering through holes and forcing safes is recurring, showing meticulous planning by the criminals. The involvement of former employees or individuals with internal knowledge of the companies is a constant in these cases.
Local authorities have intensified controls and investigations to prevent this type of crime. However, collaboration from companies in implementing stricter security measures is essential. Trust in staff must be accompanied by protocols that minimize risks.
The business community in the region expresses its concern about this wave of crimes. It is expected that the justice system will act swiftly and that security policies will be reinforced to protect companies and their employees. Prevention and collaboration between the private sector and security forces are key to reversing this trend.
