Mirtha Legrand surprised President Milei with a libertarian nod at a parade

The diva launched the slogan 'Long live freedom, damn it!' in front of the president at a Roberto Piazza event

On a night full of surprises and unexpected political gestures, Mirtha Legrand and Javier Mileicoincided at the commemorative fashion show for the 50-year career of designer Roberto Piazza. The event, which took place in Barracas, ended up being more than a fashion celebration: it turned into a stage of high symbolic impact.

During her appearance, Legrand took the microphone to thank for the invitation, but she didn't limit herself to formalities. Spontaneously, she exclaimed:  "Long live freedom, damn it!", the already iconic libertarian slogan that identifies President Milei and his government.

The audience replied enthusiastically: shouts, applause, and ovations filled the room.From a nearby box, the president didn't hide his joy at the gesture. He smiled broadly and applauded, visibly pleased.

The president's inner circle celebrated the gesture

Milei attended the event accompanied by key figures of his government. By his side were the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich; the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni; his sister and general secretary, Karina Milei; the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos; and the Secretary of Culture,  Leonardo Cifelli.

All of them celebrated Mirtha's words, which quickly went viral on social media thanks  to a video shared by Adorni. The moment not only had an impact at the event but also in the digital universe, where it became a trend.

Upon leaving, the president stopped briefly to speak with the press and praised Legrand: "I was pleasantly surprised," he stated in remarks to TN. The sequence continued when he decided to get out of his vehicle to greet supporters waiting for him on the sidewalk.

A charitable event with high political content

Piazza's fashion show was conceived with charitable purposes, but the coincidence between Mirtha Legrand and Javier Milei turned the evening into a scene full of political and media symbolism.

Before leaving, the president once again echoed the battle cry launched by the diva: "Long live freedom, damn it!". This time, accompanied by the chorus of attendees who were still present.

The event closed with applause and smiles, making it clear that fashion, politics, and entertainment can share the stage, even if just for one night.
