The SMN forecasts more stable days, with cold mornings but without a polar wave in the AMBA
The latest data from the National Meteorological Service shows less extreme values than initially predicted.
Friday 12: minimum of 8°C and maximum of 17°C.
Saturday 13: minimum of 9°C and maximum of 13°C.
Sunday 14: minimum of 4°C and maximum of 12°C.
Monday 15: minimum of 5°C and maximum of 15°C.
Tuesday 16: minimum of 6°C and maximum of 16°C.
Sunday is expected to be the coldest morning of the period, with temperatures close to 4°C in the City of Buenos Aires and potentially lower values in suburban areas.
With the information available until this Thursday morning, no conditions compatible with a polar wave are observed over the AMBA in the coming days.
Although there will be cold mornings and typical winter temperatures, the maximums will continue to range between 12°C and 17°C. Additionally, the influx of cold air will be brief and will not reach the intensity necessary to generate an extreme cold episode in the region.
The weather in the AMBA begins to show improvement this Thursday, June 11 after several days dominated by clouds, humidity, and low visibility. According to the forecast from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the day will have more sunshine and moderate temperatures for the season.
The updated projections also currently rule out the arrival of a polar cold wave over the City of Buenos Aires and the Greater Buenos Aires area. The minimum temperatures will remain low during the long weekend, but far from the extreme values that had been anticipated in some previous forecasts.
After a cool morning with temperatures around 10°C, Thursday will offer the best weather conditions of the week.
According to the SMN, a day with little cloud cover, light winds, and a maximum temperature reaching 17°C is expected. The improvement will come after several days of overcast skies and few moments of sunshine.
The afternoon will be the most pleasant of the week, with good conditions for outdoor activities and no chance of precipitation.
The stability will not last long. On Saturday, instability could return to the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires.
According to the updated forecast, there is a 10% to 40% chance of rain at various times throughout the day. The maximum temperature will hover around 13°C, and the atmosphere will feel more humid again.
No precipitation is expected for Sunday, and the sky will present better conditions, with sunshine for most of the day.
