The cuarteto cordobés idol surprised everyone with a shocking confession on the show Otro día perdido, hosted by Mario Pergolini. There, he recounted the serious accident that almost cost him his life and the months of recovery he had to face.
La Mona Jiménez said that an incident left him in a coma for five months, after a blow that required surgery to save his life.

The accident that left him on the brink of death
The singer recalled that everything began at Belgrano's stadium, when a fight in the stands ended with him receiving a hard blow from a bottle. "There was no blood, it was all internal. I rolled, made it to the car and then nothing else... coma," he narrated.
Neurologist Juan Carlos Carranza made the immediate decision to operate on him. "If we don't do it now, tomorrow he'll be left like a vegetable," the doctor warned before the surgery that saved his life.
Five months in a coma
He remained unconscious for five months. "One day I woke up, got out of bed and thought: miracle, miracle," he recalled, moved. The surgery had prevented the neurological damage from becoming irreversible.

Rehabilitation
After waking up, he began a year of intense rehabilitation. "I ate however I could, I wanted to go to the bathroom and would bump into the wall, until my head started to adjust," he recounted.
His willpower and love for music were key to returning to the stage. "It was tough, but I never thought about quitting singing," the cuarteto singer stated.
