Capcom doubles down with Monster Hunter Wilds. The title will celebrate its first anniversary with the arrival of version 1.041 on February 18 and, in addition, it has confirmed that it is already working on a large-scale expansion that promises to redefine the gameplay experience, following the line of content set by Iceborne and Sunbreak.
Update 1.041: events, rewards, and high-level challenges
Version 1.041 will be available starting February 18 and will include the Hunter Appreciation Pack, which can be claimed by logging in until March 19. This special pack is part of the celebrations for the game's first anniversary, which will run until mid-March with weekly festivals under the name Festival of Accord.
Each week will feature different themes —such as Blossomdance and Lumenhymn— with exclusive quests and brand-new rewards, including:
- Materials for special armor
- Unique accessories
- Limited-edition cosmetic items
The main course will be the arrival of Arch-tempered Arkveld, a monster that will headline the 10-star difficulty quests. These will be reserved for players with hunter rank 100 or higher. Overcoming this challenge will allow players to unlock encounters against apex predators, in addition to obtaining rare talismans and reinforced emblems, which are key for high-level competitive play.

The update will also incorporate content that won the official design contest: the Shatterseal Great Sword, created by Nolan Lu, and the Meatmergency! pendant, designed by ikei. Both will be available upon completing specific quests.
In terms of improvements, the update will add quality-of-life adjustments, the ability to edit characters and Palicoes for free, and the inclusion of Latin American Spanish.
Collaborations and special anniversary content
As part of the celebration, Monster Hunter Wilds will feature a collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, whose release is scheduled for March 13.
