Amid the violent riots carried out by the far left in different cities across the country, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported that it has already received more than 220,000 applications from U.S. citizens interested in joining the agency, as part of a recruitment campaign launched by the government of Donald Trump during the last year.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the number of applications made it possible to far exceed the initial objectives and achieve a historic expansion of the operational force.
According to the official statement, ICE managed to hire more than 12,000 new officers and agents in less than a year, doubling its staff, which went from 10,000 to 22,000 personnel, an increase of 120%. The original goal was to add 10,000 agents in twelve months, but it was comfortably surpassed thanks to the volume of applications received across the country.
