The institutional crisis at San Lorenzo added a new high-impact judicial chapter this Tuesday. The courts indicted the club's former president, Marcelo Moretti, for the crime of fraudulent administration and imposed a ban on leaving the country while the investigation continues into the alleged collection of bribes during his administration.
The decision was adopted by Judge Laura Bruniard, at the request of Prosecutor Mónica Cuñarro. In addition to the indictment, the court decided to keep Moretti free and ordered an attachment of 38 million pesos. According to reports, the executive's defense has already indicated that it will appeal the measure.

The judicial case originated from a hidden camera broadcast by Canal 9, in which Moretti is seen putting away an envelope with 25 thousand dollars. According to the investigation, that money was allegedly delivered as a bribe to benefit a youth player, the son of a businesswoman from La Plata.
After the indictment became known, one of the complainants publicly celebrated the progress of the judicial process and stated that he will not abandon the case until he achieves the institutional normalization of the club. In the same vein, another of the promoters of the complaint stated that Moretti would not face effective prison time because he doesn't have a criminal record, but that he would have to return the money and complete probation, in addition to carrying the judicial record.
Meanwhile, as the case moves forward in the courts, the political situation at San Lorenzo has completely collapsed. After a long and tense Board of Directors meeting, the number of resignations required to declare the club leaderless was reached, leaving the Boedo institution without formal leadership.
