Motorola started the year with high-impact announcements and made it clear that it is going after the ultra-premium segment. Within the framework of Lenovo Tech World 2026, the brand introduced a new ecosystem of products focused on design, productivity, and artificial intelligence.

The event, held in Las Vegas and in parallel with CES, marked a strategic shift. More luxury, more power, and integrated AI that aims to support the user across all devices.

A large-format foldable designed for work

The most significant announcement was the debut of the first Motorola Fold, a book-style foldable phone aimed at productivity. When it is closed, it works as a classic smartphone, with a fully functional 6.6-inch external display.

It offers an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO panel that allows users to run several apps at the same time, work with floating windows, and take advantage of multitasking features. Compatibility with Moto Pen Ultra reinforces its professional profile.

Cameras and smart features

It incorporates a triple 50-megapixel system, with a Sony LYTIA main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens with macro mode, and a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It also records in Dolby Vision and adds advanced stabilization.

AI plays a key role with features such as Catch Me Up, which summarizes information, and Next Move, which anticipates actions based on daily use.

Motorola Signature: luxury and photography as a calling card

The second major announcement was Motorola Signature, a new family of high-end phones focused on mobile photography. Its main differentiator is a four-camera 50 MP module with advanced computational photography.

The device was recognized by DXOMARK with the Gold Label Camera seal. In terms of power, it adds Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 5200 mAh battery, and 90 W fast charging.

Qira, the AI that connects the entire ecosystem

Beyond the hardware, Motorola introduced Qira, its unified artificial intelligence platform. The proposal is to maintain context and continuity across phones, PCs, and wearables.

The company also showcased a prototype called Project Maxwell, an experimental device that interacts with the environment without relying on screens. Although it will not reach the market, it sets the direction for integrated AI.

An increasingly broad ecosystem

The strategy is completed with new accessories under moto things, such as speakers developed with Bose, smartwatches, and trackers. Motorola is betting on an ecosystem where the phone remains the hub, but not the only protagonist.
