Drug gang busted in Traslasierra: raids in Mina Clavero and Villa Cura Brochero
A drug trafficking network operating near the Panaholma River with a hierarchical structure and territorial distribution was dismantled
A drug trafficking organization was dismantled in the Traslasierra valley Traslasierra after a series of raids carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force. Mina Clavero and Villa Cura Brochero were the epicenter of the operations, where four men linked to drug dealing were arrested.
The procedures were carried out in four homes used as the gang's operational bases. The investigation indicated that the organization had been operating for months in the heart of the tourist area.
A criminal structure with hierarchies and territorial distribution
Investigators identified a leader who supplied his subordinates, known as "dogs", who were responsible for distributing drugs at predetermined locations. Deliveries took place in areas near the Panaholma River, where the movement of people facilitated concealment.
The detainees are between 32 and 43 years old and were part of a hierarchical structure. Each one fulfilled a defined role within a network with logistics and planning.

Seizure of drugs, money, and items linked to the case
During the raids, doses of marijuana and cocaine, a motorcycle, cash, and items related to drug packaging were seized. The Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office of Villa Dolores ordered the indictment of the four individuals for aggravated drug trafficking.
This operation is connected to another raid carried out on June 28, where two dealers had already been arrested. With them, the case now totals six defendants under the terms of Law 23,737.

Street-level drug dealing advances into public spaces in tourist areas
The use of recreational areas to sell drugs demonstrates the lack of supervision and control by the provincial administration over the territory. Spaces intended for tourism and recreation are being overtaken by criminal networks that operate openly.
Open-air criminal activity affects coexistence, makes residents vulnerable, and damages the image of key destinations for the regional economy. Zero tolerance for drug trafficking is a necessary condition to guarantee order and freedom in our communities.
