NASA confirmed the date of one of the most striking astronomical events of the 21st century. The next total solar eclipse that will leave the world in darkness for several minutes already has a specific day and defined characteristics.
This is a phenomenon that will not occur again for more than one hundred years and that promises to capture the attention of scientists and astronomy enthusiasts.

NASA confirms a historic total solar eclipse
On August 2, 2027, an unprecedented total solar eclipse over land will occur. According to data from NASA, the totality phase will last for 6 minutes and 22 seconds, an extraordinary duration for this type of event.
The Moon will completely cover the Sun and several regions will be left in twilight in the middle of the day, creating a scenario that is as striking as it is rare.
Which countries will be able to see the total eclipse
The band of totality will be about 258 kilometers (160.3 miles) wide and will travel more than 15,200 kilometers. According to the specialized platform Eclipse Wise, the phenomenon will cross Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Somalia.
