Great signal from Javier Milei to the Argentine agricultural sector: Córdoba's essential role

The President confirmed to the Liaison Committee that export duties will be the next tax to be eliminated

President Javier Milei met with the Liaison Table at the La Rural grounds, where he reaffirmed his commitment to the Argentine agricultural sector. During the meeting, he confirmed that export duties are "under scrutiny" and will be the next tax to be eliminated. This decision is part of an economic direction that prioritizes productive freedom and competitiveness.

The president was received by the top representatives of the agricultural sector in an atmosphere of trust and institutional respect.  The leaders especially appreciated the President's presence just days before the start of the 137th Rural Exhibition. Córdoba, one of the country's most productive provinces, is once again at the center of this transformation.

The meeting was also an opportunity to highlight what has been achieved in these first months of administration. Since the beginning of the term, the national government has implemented concrete measures that directly benefit the productive sector. The agricultural sector, the engine of the economy, is once again being recognized and supported.

Córdoba, one of the main beneficiaries of the removal of export duties

In January of this year, the government implemented a temporary reduction of export duties on major grains such as soybeans and corn. Córdoba was one of the provinces most benefited by this measure, which allowed for increased margins, boosted sales, and eased costs. Export duties for regional economies were also permanently eliminated.

The impact of these decisions was immediate throughout the province. From northern Córdoba to the productive south, thousands of producers regained financial breathing room. Córdoba's agro-industrial exports accounted for more than 80% of the provincial total during the first half of the year.

According to estimates from the Rosario Board of Trade, the agricultural sector will contribute more than 32 billion dollars in foreign currency this year. This result is the outcome of policies that respect those who work, take risks, and produce. Meanwhile, Córdoba plays a leading role in this model.

More competitiveness, fewer obstacles, and an economy that is getting back on track

Javier Milei also reaffirmed his vision of an Argentina fully integrated into the world. Market openness, respect for the rules of the game, and the elimination of regulatory barriers are part of the new paradigm. Argentina is once again presenting itself as a reliable nation for trade, investment, and growth.

This transformation is recognized with enthusiasm and commitment in Córdoba's agro-industrial sector. The restoration of trust in the state and fiscal predictability marks a deep change. The agricultural sector is no longer a source of resources to sustain privileges, but a central pillar of national growth.

On July 26, the President will be present at the official opening of La Rural. It will be a new opportunity to continue consolidating this virtuous relationship between the national government and producers. Córdoba will be present, as always, with work, innovation, and freedom.
