The new Siri will have a face and AI features in iOS 27
Apple plans to give Siri a visual identity in 2026 to compete in AI and regain ground against its rivals
After almost 15 years of being just a voice, Siri, Apple's virtual assistant, will have a visual identity for the first time. The project aims to give it a recognizable on-screen personality.
Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist specializing in company leaks, revealed this information, although there is still no official confirmation from Cupertino.

What will Siri's new face look like?
Apple's plan is known internally as "Bubbles". According to rumors, there are two possible paths. One is to use a version of the Finder logo, the blue and white smiling face from Mac, or to opt for a cartoonish Memoji style.
If realized, Siri would stop being just a simple colored circle on the screen and become an assistant with a visual identity.
When will this new feature reach users?
Gurman indicated that the change will occur in two stages. First, with improvements to Siri's functions, which will be integrated into the new features of Apple Intelligence.

The aesthetic update would then arrive, scheduled for iOS 27 at the end of 2026.
A step in the Artificial Intelligence race
Apple seeks to regain ground against rivals such as Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI, which have advanced more quickly in artificial intelligence.

Giving Siri a visual personality is part of a broader company plan, which includes innovative projects such as home automatons and an iPad with a robotic arm.
