Nico Vázquez, devastated after his separation: 'He can't sleep, he's broken inside'

The actor spoke with Yanina Latorre in a private conversation and revealed the deep pain he is experiencing

The impact of the separation between  Nico Vázquez and Gimena Accardi shook the entertainment world. After almost twenty years together, the couple decided to go their separate ways, and the actor himself broke his silence in an intimate conversation with Yanina Latorre. The journalist shared the most revealing excerpts from that conversation, which took place Thursday afternoon.

According to Latorre on Sálvese quien pueda (América), it was Vázquez himself who called her. He was overwhelmed by sadness.  "He told me his life is hell,"  said the panelist, who clarified that she respected many of the confessions the actor made to her off the air.

A process of wear and difficult decisions

During the conversation, Nico explained that the breakup was not sudden. He stated that they had been going through a crisis for more than a year and that they tried different ways to rebuild the relationship. There were no third parties, but rather a growing distance and "misunderstandings" that, over time, became irreconcilable.

He also said that, as part of the attempt to save the relationship, he decided to move to another apartment to create some space and see if they would miss each other. However, the physical distance did not ease the emotional crisis.

Latorre interpreted that the decision to end the relationship may have come from Gimena. "In my opinion, she left him," she said, based on information she did not specify. She added that Accardi's professional growth, especially after her time at the Olga channel, may have influenced the outcome.

Nico Vázquez's deep pain

The separation, according to Vázquez, left him emotionally devastated. In his conversation with Latorre, he confessed that he could not sleep and that he was having difficulty performing in his theater roles.  "He is broken inside," said the journalist, who said she had heard him cry like she had never heard anyone cry before.

She also recalled an especially sensitive moment: the collapse of the building in Miami, from which both escaped unharmed by a matter of seconds. She said that episode still affects him deeply and that he continues to address it in therapy.

Amid the pain, he also categorically denied the rumors linking him romantically to actress Dai Fernández, his theater colleague. Vázquez explained that she was a great emotional support during the separation process, but he strongly denied any kind of romantic relationship.  "She is my friend, a sister," he stated, and expressed his anger at those who spread false stories.

Despite the distance, Nico stated that he still feels a deep love for Gimena.  "She is the woman of my life. I am convinced that I will not meet anyone else like her," he told Latorre, making it clear that his pain is not only recent, but that it completely overwhelms him.

Vázquez asked the journalist to share his version without exposing intimate details. Above all, he asked her to do so respectfully: "He spoke to me as if we were friends. He doesn't owe me any explanations, but he told me that life is hell."
