Nico Vázquez and Gimena Accardi shared almost two decades of love, work, and life. Their bond was born on a television set and went through losses, tragedies, and great moments before reaching its end.

The couple announced their separation on social media, with a joint message in which they highlighted the respect, affection, and deep history that united them since 2007.

A love born among cameras and grown in silence

They met on Alma Pirata, but it was during the filming of Casi Ángeles where the connection between them became unstoppable. At that time, Nico was married to Mercedes Funes, but his bond with Gime grew quickly. "The first kiss was acted, after that there was no turning back," she said years later.

After six months, they were already living together in San Isidro. Since then, they never separated again: they were a couple in fiction and in life. They shared theater and television projects, trips, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Complicity and humor were a constant in their relationship.

Losses, crises, and a love that always endured

In 2013, they went through one of the hardest experiences: the loss of a pregnancy. They had already passed the first months of risk and already knew the gender. "We had to cry a lot, but we supported each other," Gimena recounted honestly.

A year later, they experienced a relationship crisis caused by excessive work. They separated for ten days, but that brief distance helped them revalue what they had built. "We lost touch, but we came back stronger," they said.

In 2016, life struck them again: Santiago, Nico's brother, passed away unexpectedly. Gime was his greatest support. "She supported me when I had no strength," the actor confessed.

Five years later, they were seconds away from dying. They were in Miami when the building where they were staying collapsed. They managed to escape just before the collapse.

Despite everything, they continued to believe in love. In 2016, they got married, but with an intimate and unconventional ceremony: no rings, with symbolic tattoos on their fingers. "It's our symbol," they explained.

For years, they would escape together to Arenas Verdes, their place in the world, where they could rest their souls. On social media, they shared their daily life with humor, tenderness, and mutual admiration.

The announcement of the end: words that honor the journey

The letter published by both was clear, sincere, and respectful. "After 18 years together, we feel it's time to take different paths," they wrote. They stated that it was a difficult decision, but made with maturity.

Nico confessed that they did everything possible to sustain the relationship, but they understood that letting go is also an act of love. Gimena shared the same message on her Instagram, making it clear that it was a joint decision.

They asked for empathy and respect to go through this new moment. "Love, even if it takes new forms, is still there," they wrote.

When rumors of third parties in discord arose, Gimena was blunt and denied them with another post. She also expressed her hope of having wanted to grow old with him.

Although the chapter as a couple has ended, the love story of Nico and Gime leaves a mark: it was authentic, deep, and built over the years with respect, humor, and dedication. A real love, which chose to say goodbye without scandals and with gratitude.
